About the Instructor
Michael Jorgensen has worked since his early 20s in the design, marketing and communications industries. He began as a graphic designer for design agencies and companies, before starting his own freelance proprietorship – Jorgensen Advertising [1998-2008].
Michael has designed campaigns for educational, health, non-profit, real estate and manufacturing/ distributing companies. Michael works collaboratively to develop marketing and creative strategies, then designs and produces materials for both print and web, to fulfill specific objectives.
Michael is knowledgeable and experienced in all aspects of print and web design, pre-press, creative strategy, and presentation development. Strong design, technical, communication and marketing skills, along with copywriting and editing abilities allow him to create highly effective campaigns.
Michael has nurtured new talent by teaching creative strategy, copy writing, new media theory, graphic design, advertising, video-editing and web site design for students at the University of Lethbridge, BCIT and other post-secondary institutions. Teaching has allowed him to stay current with new developments in advertising strategies and technologies.
Michael is seeking full-time, permanent employment with a dynamic and innovative organization, that rewards commitment and creativity.
